A catch-all e-mailbox is one that gathers all the emails sent to non-existent email addresses. For instance, if your email address is info@domain.com, but someone mistypes it and sends an email message to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have created. Just one mailbox per domain name can have this feature activated and in this way you will never miss emails because the other side has an outdated email address or has made a typo. The downside of creating a catch-all mailbox is that you may start receiving plenty of unsolicited email messages, but this problem can be rectified by using anti-spam filtering software. It’s also important to remember that a mailbox with an enabled catch-all functionality cannot redirect incoming email messages to a third-party address.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Hosting

If you host a domain name on our cloud hosting platform and you’ve got a cloud hosting account, you’ll be able to enable the catch-all feature for any e-mailbox that you set up under the domain. The Email Manager section of the Hepsia hosting Control Panel includes quite a few functions, but it is surprisingly simple to use, so setting up a catch-all mailbox requires only one click of the mouse. All the email addresses that you have created will be listed in this section in alphabetical order and you’ll only have to click on the "Catch-all" button associated with the particular address. Our system will notify you if there’s already another catch-all mailbox enabled for that domain name or if the one that you want to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding enabled, so you can either turn off the latter feature or pick another mailbox. Disabling the catch-all option is just as easy and requires yet another click on the very same button.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

A catch-all address can be configured with several clicks of the mouse if you’ve got a semi-dedicated hosting with our company. The semi-dedicated account will be administered via our in-house created Hepsia Control Panel and you will be able to set up mailboxes using any domain hosted there. To activate the catch-all functionality for a given mailbox, you’ll need to click on the icon with the same name, which will be on the right-hand side of each email address. Disabling this functionality can be done in the exact same manner and will not take more than a click either. In case the catch-all feature has already been activated for a specific domain, you will receive a warning note. The same goes if the mailbox that you would like to be a catch-all one has email forwarding enabled, as our system will never replace or deactivate any feature automatically.
